Bells and Lemon Drops by Evan Ross

Tanya is holidaying in San Juan with three friends from work. Sing and Marly are straight and Advit thinks she might be bisexual – which is great, because Tanya secretly hopes to make Advit her love connection. At the hotel, things go unexpectedly wrong when Sing insists on sleeping in the bed with Advit, forcing Tanya to sleep with Marly. She thinks the situation can’t get any worse, until it does. Advit will have to get a clue and Tanya must take a risk – before they can stoke their passion and leap into the fires of love.

Burnt Sugar by Anna Sansom

Swapping my usual Saturday night out in a dyke bar with a bottle of beer for a world of feather boas and cocktails was really stepping outside of my comfort zone. Along with the rest of the audience, I hoped to find the burlesque show entertaining and, with any luck, maybe even slightly titillating. But what happened on the stage paled in comparison to meeting my own, private dancer…

Wedding by Jess Murray

Attending her ex-boyfriend’s wedding becomes much more exciting for blonde Jess when she catches sight of a gorgeous, toned, shorthaired woman. Is she even gay? Jess is determined to find out, and parades her considerable assets to try and turn the mystery woman’s head. Once the two of them strike up a conversation it’s clear that Jess has more than met her match, and the heat builds as they drink, dance, and banter their way towards a sizzling midnight date in the wedding chapel…

Dreams Come True by Encarnita Round

There is only one woman in the world Ali wants to be with, and that’s Sam, her lifelong best friend. Just one party ruins everything and their relationship is broken beyond repair. Rejected and broken hearted, Ali finally decides to pick up the pieces and move on. She seeks a night of distractions, hot and steamy distractions, when she finds that a spilt drink can lead to more than just her trousers getting wet. For Ali, things will never be the same again.

Inside Out by Persha Bell

At the Flor de Canela Villas complex, everyone’s a wannabe, waiting for that big Hollywood break and trading on a vague resemblance to someone more famous. And for D, the dream is turning very sour very quickly. But when D’s neighbour breaks up with his celebrity girlfriend, D gets the chance to offer consolation and maybe even find out what it’s like to be somebody…

A collection of the winning entries from the Xcite/Diva magazine short story competition.

She raised her hair and I rubbed across her shoulder in a circular motion and placed my other hand on her back for balance. I wanted to lick the drops of moisture from her face, to nestle my nose in her armpit and inhale her. I wanted to taste her. Instead, as her co-worker, I focused on my task.

Advit leant back against me and said, ‘Can you get my arms?’ She raised them in the air. ‘Please?’ I liked it when she said “please”. I stood in front of her; her nipples were dark beige and lay as if waiting to be awakened. I so wanted to wake them. Sweat and water droplets covered me; I was in a state of restraint. I closed my eyes. This was torture and I had had enough.

A water droplet slid from the ceiling, down my chin, and stopped at the base of my neck. Like a gunshot triggers the start of a race, that tiny residue of water activated me. I wanted her to drip down my face, down my throat, and I wanted it now.

I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close. Her sleeping nipples went hard, like hot pellets. She trembled and inhaled with quickened breath. I kissed her full lips. Her tongue met mine, tentative. I pushed her back until she was lying flat on her towel. Her freckled legs were covered in sweat and water drops; the steam hissed in the background as if to drive me further, like a train that had broken free of the tracks.

I took off the glove and flung it into the white swirls of steam. Her inner thigh felt soft; I wanted a taste. I slid my tongue across her tender skin. She moaned and parted her legs. I didn’t want the other thigh to feel jealous so I snaked my tongue across it too, licking the salty moisture that covered her skin like morning dew. The sound of her moans was a gift to my ears – as sweet and tender as I’d imagined they would be. She felt good in my hand. The musky perfume of her cunt moons was even more enticing than Obsession, and much more precious. She clenched my hair. I slid my tongue up and down her wetness. She moved her hips to greet my mouth, wanting more, begging for more. We danced together without leaving the towel.

She slid against me like butter melting in the sun.

Elizabeth Coldwell

Elizabeth Coldwell joined Xcite Books in 2011. Formerly the editor of the UK edition of Forum magazine and co-founder of the Guild of Erotic Writers, she has been writing erotic fiction for over twenty years and her work has been widely published in the UK and US. She enjoys writing across the spectrum of erotica genres, from m/m space opera to girl/girl messy fun, vanilla to BDSM, paranormal to contemporary.

Anna Sansom

Anna Sansom first started writing erotica to create her own seduction superpower. Lacking the swagger to chat up women in bars, she slipped them her bespoken stories instead. It was a successful technique and, now that she’s wedded to her favourite muse, she's stopped trawling the bars and writes for a wider audience instead.

She writes lesbian erotica, often with a BDSM edge, and sometimes with a dose of romance.

Anna’s passion is exploring and celebrating women’s sexuality and you can find her playing with lots of creative ideas about how to do this at her website and blog ‘The Ladygarden Project’. She also writes fiction and articles for DIVA - the UK’s lesbian life and style magazine.
